Hey there. I am moving my blog.
I am staying with WordPress, but changing the account in order to leave behind a certain reader whom I don’t want reading it.
So, the solution is this: if you are not my soon-to-be-ex, and you want to know where my new blog is, post a comment with your e-mail address and I will e-mail you the new site and my friends-only passwords. Since I moderate all comments before they are posted, I will be able to use your e-mail address for this purpose without anyone else seeing it. So it will be safe and secure.
Also, I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t mention on your blogs what my new address is in connection with my old one. I don’t think Mr. Ex reads any of my friends’ blogs, but I don’t want to assume too much.
Thanks, and I hope you had a great Christmas!
(I did, in spite of the reason for the blog-moving. Details on the other site, so you’ll have to go there to find out more.)
It has been way longer than I intended it to be. Oops. Sorry.
But on the plus side, I don’t have any new pictures to show off, since all progress has been on the Stealth Knitting object. Hopefully I will take a picture when it is complete and then I can (try to remember) to post the pictures after Christmas. We’ll see.
Life is still great. I am still busy. And I have not yet begun my socks-for-me. Nor my Icarus shawl, though I did ask my mom to buy me the yarn for the shawl for Christmas. I figured that was the easiest way to make sure I procrastinated knitting it until after all of my presents were done.
Note to self: (take and) post pictures of the pencil roving and any knit-related Christmas presents (given to me).
Well, I have been busy on the knitting, and not so busy on the blogging. Both of my previous scarves-in-progress have been completed, and I have pictures. I think, however, for the sake of the blogigng consistency, I will post only one WIP today, and the other will have to wait.
Also, I have finished a square for Firefly’s charity knitting project, and I will be mailing that off as soon as if has finished drying. (I wet-blocked it, just to be sure that it fit the 7″ square requirements.) In fact, just to be nice, here is an in-progress picture of the square.
I will have to remember to take a picture of it before I mail it off. And I will try to get better lighting (it was a gray day when I took this) so that you can see the pattern I used. I will also be posting the pattern on my “2006 FOs” page (link on the top of the blog). It’s a fun pattern, and would work well on a man’s scarf, as well. (You would have to make it longer than 7″ for a scarf, however. Naturally.)
The Bonkers scarf is also blocking. Before I show you the detail of the pattern, however, here is the nearly complete final length:
It’s a little longer than that, but not much. A good length for a woman’s lightweight scarf, I think. It seemed to suit the pattern. And speaking of the pattern:
I love the way it turned out.
I think that’s all for today. I have a new stealth knitting project that I may mention but probably won’t show pictures of, but besides that (and the miterd square tank) I have no WIPs. This is a very strange feeling. I must start a new pair of socks, or something. But I should probably be sure I have all my Christmas Knits done before I do make more socks, I think.
7″ squares. For a good cause.
Should be easy for knitters, right?
Meet the Cannibal Scarf.
( Must be a Chinese scarf… it’s using chopsticks! )
It is nearly done, but in order to be as long as I’d wanted, it has to eat the previous incarnation of the Moonlight Mohair scarf.
(In that picture, the new version is on the left, and the old version is on the right. In case you couldn’t tell.)
It’s almost to the point where I’m going to do the edging and bind off. Yay! Fun though this scarf has been, I’m ready to be done with it.
